With a legal career spanning nearly five decades, David is a highly respected and experienced attorney in oil & gas law, complex litigation, and nearly every conceivable form of dispute that can occur in the oil & gas industry.
David has successfully represented a diverse number of clients, including major corporations, independent operators, pipeline companies, and landowners in oil & gas, and title disputes, in Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. Having prepared thousands of complex title opinions, David is an expert in title disputes and oil & gas related litigation. David is also well versed in the business of energy, having served for ten years as General Counsel of two publicly traded oil & gas companies.
David obtained board certification as an oil, gas & mineral law specialist from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in 1986. David is, at the time of this writing, one of 376 attorneys in Texas who have obtained this certification.
